Where Rottweilers are more than just

Pretty Faces.

Welcome to the Internet home of BIGLuv Rottweilers.

This website is dedicated to our Rottweilers and the things we do with them.

Our backgrounds are varied and include professional dog training for the pet at home, training and handling in performance and obedience events (AKC and German style) and expert handling in conformation (AKC and German style). We even have an American Temperament Test Society (ATTS) tester among us.

Our club affiliations and activities include: ARV, USA (Blue Tahoe Schutzhund Club), AKC, and ARF. We are actively involved in AKC conformation and obedience competition and in the training and achievement of working titles.

We have also dabbled in herding, carting and agility.

Before the age of two RIO earned a V-1 Youth Sieger at the 2007 SW Regional USRC Sieger Show, multiple Best of Breeds (AKC conformation) and achieved his AKC American Championship. Subsequently, Rio earned his BST and AD under Mary’s expert guidance and two more V-1 ratings (from the Champion Male Class) at the 2008 SW Regional and the 2008 NW Regional Sieger Shows. And there have been more Best of Breeds, Best of Opposite Sexes, a Group Win, a Group Placement, multiple Awards of Merit a CGC and a TT. RIO is now working toward his AKC Rally and Obedience titles. As of February 2010, he earned the first two legs (in two competitions) for his Rally Novice title.

JACK, after less than a year at home with Mary, earned his BH, AD, CGC, TT and passed his Service Dog test. He recently earned a V2 rating from a regional USRC show. His training continues with more titles to be achieved this year.

Why “BIGLuv”? Because, after all, it’s all about the love of the dogs, isn’t it?
